Direct Reading Variable Attenuators
These completely shielded units consist of a section of waveguide into which a matched resistive attenuator strip is inserted. The use of a special support disc for the resistive strip eliminates the undesirable effects of radiation. Careful design of the control system provided extremely smooth action and thereby permits fine adjustments. Attenuation is adjustable from 0 to 20 dB. Over the frequency band of operation the maximum VSWR of any unit is 1.20. Finish is instrument gray enamel.
